My Love - Color Combos Galore #179

Hello all my lovelies,

So much inspiraiton from so many places this week for just one layout, I tell ya!

  1. This week over at Color Combos Galore, the color palette is delicious passionate colors - black, gray, red, and white.  You can find the whole post here, and the color inspiration.   When I saw the palette and the prompt to make a layout about my loved one.  I immediately thought of all the beautiful pictures of my beautiful on our wedding day.
  2. On Friday, the Unity Stamp Company Blog featured a beautiful piece of work, as last weeks winner of their FWF Challenge.  You can see the beautiful piece created by Houses Built of Cards here or off the right!  But please, visit her blog to leave her some love if you love the card (like me!).
When I say I awoke in the middle of the night flooded with inspiraiton from both of the above.... I. Am. Not. Joking.   Seriously at 3:44 am this morning I woke up with this wonderful and beautiful mesh of inspiration and idea running through my head.  I'm pretty sure I was dreaming about it actually.  So, when I finally did wake up this morning, at a more reasonable hour, and completed all my wifely duties, I put aside another agonizing project that I will share later and got to creating.  And this, is what I came up with my lovelies.........

Supplies: Cardstock (Bazzill); Stamps (Unity KOM); Flowers (Prima); Chipboard embellishments (DCWV, Recollections, MAMBI, Tattered Angels); Letter Stickers (American Crafts); Chipboard Letters (Unknown); Bling (Unknown, Joann's); Ink (Tattered Angels, Ranger Tim Holtz Distress); Metal embellishments (Making Memories, Joann's); Ribbon (Unknown)

Double Up: Scrapjazz and Pagemaps

For this lovely layout, I did a double challenge.  The color combination was inspired by the lovely and talented Nora over at Scrapjazz.  And that challenge can be found here.  The composition was inspired by this sketch over at pagemaps.blogspot.com.  And, this was my outcome!

I have to admit that I could not be happier with the way this layout turned out.  I am in total love with it!  Not to mention that I just love to play around with my supplies, it's F.U.N.

Supplies: Cardstock (Bazzill); Patterned Paper (Les Deux Amies); Inks (Tsuineko, Tattered Angels, Marvy Uchida); Paint (Americana); Rub on (Foofala, My Minds Eye); Stickers (Making Memories; Unknown); Chipboard letters (Prima, Pink Paislee); Paper Punch (Fiskars); Flowers (Prima); Brad (Recollections); Paper clip (Unknown)

Some Unity Love

I love love love Unity stamps... So much so that, Unity is what got me involved in cardmaking and stamping.  I HAD to have all their stamps, so many beautiful and lovely stamps.  So I bought them, and they just hung out and then I decided I should do more than horde them...  so much lovely rubber!  This card was inspired by this challenge over at Scrapjazz.com.  And to be honest, this was a tough challenge for me!!  I redid this card over and over until I came up with the above, and I am definately happy now!

Supplies: Stamps (Unity, Stampin Up!); Cardstock (Bazzill, Making Memories, Unknown); Patterned Paper (Unknown); Inks (Ranger, Tusineko, Tattered Angels); Embossing (Sizzix); Dies (Spellbinders)

My Scrappy Kitty

As most of you have figured out by now, I have a little grey kitty.  She's awesome - really.  She loves to be around us not so much people she isn't familiar but that aside she is always found near by in whatever room myself or my hubby is in.  Rarely is she found in a room by herself.  Well one of her favorite places to be is my Craft Room (imagine that).  She loves to lay in the middle of whatever I am working on, but REALLY and I mean REALLY loves my crop bags.  Loves them, full or empty she is often found sleeping on them - and sleeping all day on them.  My man suggested that I take pictures of her sleeping on my crop bags, and THAT is exactly what I did!  The color Combination is inspiration from Color Combos Galore Challenge #96 (I know shocking).  It is a pallet of rich purple, green, grey, and cream.  What a lovely combination!

Supplies: Patterned Paper (MAMBI, Basic Grey); Cardstock (Bazzill); Trim (Unknown); Chipboard (Fancy Pants); Border Punch (EK Success); Die (Spellbinders); Fonts (ProvoCraft Gypsy Font and DonJuan); Cat and Paws (Frisky Felines SVG from SVGcuts.com); Tools (Cricut, Gypsy)

Two Color Combo Galores For you

Yes, it will be a PICTURE OVERLOAD.  Okay, I am a lot behind in well... A Lot, but I am sure you all understand that one.  So, lets get to it........

1. Last weeks reveal at Color Combos Galore.  Color Combo #177.  This was a tough one and I'll be honest, I took me a whole week to complete it.  yep.  This sat on my desk and I would come back to it throughout the week/day and add a little at a time.  On this layout, I did the tearing paper to reveal more paper underneath technique.  It is showing up everywhere and I have been dying to try it, so I did.  And I liked it!  The pictures, I think do not need an explanation.  Other than deep expressed love for my Furbaby who puts up with all of our playful antics.

The flowers, I changed color using some Tattered Angels Glimmer mist.  Another fun little detail, is after diecutting my journaling spot, I embossed it to give a little more subtle texture!

2. Color Combos Galore Color Combo #178.  This weeks.  yep, for my slacking last week, I finished extra early this week!  I'm having problems uploading the picture directly, so if you go here you can visit their lovely site, as well as see the current challenge and color combo.

A very intimate look into my relationship, I KNOW.  I am slightly nervous posting this one.  However, when I saw the colors, this is what I thought of.  But out of respect of my relaitonship with my lovely man, I hide the journaling.  The title was done using the Gypsy Font and my new Gypsy.
